Parent Visits
Parents interested in enrolling their children are welcome to contact the school at any time.
We have an ‘open’ school system and parents of learners already attending are also welcome to contact the school at any time to discuss matters concerning their child. Should a problem arise, please request in writing an appointment with the respective educator to resolve the issue. Should the problem not be resolved amicably, the next person to contact would be the Head of Department – in writing or telephonically. Thereafter refer to the Deputy Principal or the Principal.
Please pre-book interviews with educators to maximise the professional nature of communication in the school.
The management and educators at this school give ‘far more and over and above’ what they are paid to do. This is because they are passionate about their jobs, the school and the children. All this extra time and effort that they give to the school and in particularly your children, requires your support. This is not to say that we are always perfect. There may be times where you may have ideas or criticisms, in which case we would encourage your mature approach in resolving these by approaching a management member, rather than fuelling ‘gate gossip’ and trying to rally negative support which undermines all the hard work and positive effort that has been done at the school.
Children look up to their parents for mentoring and being role models – it is therefore incumbent on each of us to act and communicate responsibly and maturely, at all times.
If the matter cannot be dealt with on the telephone, an appointment may be made for a visit, either during school hours or after school hours. Parents are kindly requested to make appointments with the Principal via the school Secretary and to report to the reception office on arrival at the school. Parents are also invited to open evenings and special activities.
